Our History:
San Antonio Animal Hospital was established in 1997, under Veterinary Home Health Care. Dr. Diana Joyner-Mattox fulfilled a dream of owning her own veterinary hospital after graduating from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 
1995. The name was changed in 2003 when the new hospital was built to create an easily recognizable identity. During the construction phase, clients were asked to choose a hospital name, so San Antonio Animal Hospital was born. The modern facility was built with idea of comprehensive medicine and surgical care with the pets in mind.
Dr. Jennifer Hooks, also a graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine joined the hospital in 2005. Dr. Lisa Hirokawa graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005 and became part of our veterinary staff in August of 2007. The hospital contains a full laboratory and pharmacy, as well as, digital radiology, and surgical suite. Most diagnostics and treatment procedures can be handled within the hospital.

We are committed to delivering the best preventative and medical health care, respect, and compassion in a comforting atmosphere.
In July 2007, San Antonio Animal Hospital aligned itself with Spay Pasco, Inc., a charitable organization designed to assist dog and cat owners with spaying / neutering pets in Pasco County.
